Ribeira de João Gomes, also known as Cales IV, is the advanced progression in the Cales series for canyoning in Madeira, located in Funchal. This level 3 Madeira canyoning adventure features 10 rappels with a maximum height of 35 meters over a 1300-meter route. More technical than its predecessors, this canyon requires solid rope skills and good physical fitness. The descent follows João Gomes river through dramatic gorge sections. Ideal for experienced canyoneers exploring Madeira Island.
