An easy, straightforward canyon, with all anchors in good condition and matching the route description. It is a good canyon for rainy days.
Current status
As of May 2020Low flow, all equipment in good condition, cutting tools still needed for the approach to R1.
Season and flow
Low to medium/low at the start, but several tributaries progressively increase the flow significantly; low in late spring.
Access and exit
Access and vegetation. Cutting tools are needed to reopen the path to R1. The entrance area is heavily vegetated: in December 2019 a rope tied to a tree marked the way to R1, and in May 2020 the entrance from the dirt road onto the trail was easy to find with GPS, but cutting was still required as far as R1. After reaching the watercourse, the downclimbs up to R2 should be followed always on the right, parallel to the stream.
Exit. With a single car, exit by climbing Lombo Barbinhas.

It is essential to carry cutting tools for the vegetation that quickly grows back in the canyon entrance area.
Anchors, flow and access change with every storm and every winter. Treat the current status as a snapshot and check the latest conditions before any descent.
